Back in 2019, Nintendo announced that Retro Studios would be working on Metroid Prime 4 as the Austin-based company rebooted Samus Aran’s highly anticipated next 3D adventure. Today, the company has nine unfilled roles on their Nintendo careers page, all of which state at the bottom of the advertising page that “Retro Studios is currently in the middle of developing Metroid Prime 4 for Nintendo Switch.” There is a possibility that Retro Studios may be working on an additional project, but it seems likely that Nintendo would want to get Metroid Prime 4 out as soon as possible, as the project was first announced six years ago.
