SFB Games brings classic survival horror to Switch on October 16 with Crow Country – PS! spookfest style à la Silent Hill or Resident Evil.
It was released earlier this year in May on other platforms and made quite an impression for an indie game, scoring a Metascore of 84 and garnering “overwhelmingly positive” reviews on Steam.
(Switch veterans may recognize SFB Games as the developer of no less than Snipperclips – the multiplayer puzzler that served as the hybrid handheld’s launch title.)
While it seems to lack fixed cameras, its other features – from the blocky character design to the user interface – call back to the era where survival horror left its mark on the gaming industry.
Crow Country’s Nintendo Switch eShop page is 786MB in size and priced at $19.99 / £16.75.

Survival Horror adventure featuring: Rich atmosphere. A strong, tangible sense of place. A small but memorable cast of characters. Meaningful research. Interesting puzzles. And most of all – a wonderful, unusual combination of tension and serenity.
The year is 1990. Edward Crow has disappeared. The owner of ‘Crow Country’ (a small theme park in a rural suburb of Atlanta, Georgia), has not been seen since he unexpectedly closed his park two years ago. The silence is broken when a mysterious young woman named Mara Forest heads into the heart of the abandoned theme park to find him.
- Are the disturbing rumors about the Land of Crows true?
- Who really is Mara Forest?
- Why did Crow really close his park?
The story of Crow Country explores wanton human greed and the idea of the unforgivable sin.
It features ‘Exploration Mode’, for those who want to enjoy the game without being attacked.
