Eye:
Return to Monkey Island is an unexpected, exciting return from series creator Ron Gilbert that continues the story of the legendary adventure games The Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games.
It has been many years since Guybrush Threepwood last engaged in a ghost battle with his nemesis, the zombie pirate LeChuck. His true love, Elaine Marley, has turned his focus away from ruling, and Guybrush himself is lost and unfulfilled because he never found the secret of Monkey Island. Hip, young pirate leaders led by Captain Madison oust the old guard from power, Melee Island deteriorates, and famous businessman Stan is jailed for ‘marketing-related crimes’.
Banter with old friends and new faces on familiar islands now under dangerous new leadership. Then hit the high seas and explore the new and unknown while getting yourself out of dire straits. Clever puzzles, bizarre situations and devastating answers are all that stand between Guybrush and glory.
BACK TO POINT & CLICK SVASHBUKKLING!
Bringing the classic point-and-click game into the modern age, intrepid pirates will solve puzzles and explore islands with a clever evolution of classic adventure game controls. Context-sensitive interactions, reactive dialog trees, and an easy-to-use list system make pirating a breeze.
GO ON ARCHIPELAGO ADVENTURES!
Navigate the sometimes friendly confines of Melee Island, a famous place that has found itself under new management by leaders who have put the pressure on old friends and new faces. Venture into uncharted regions like the aptly named Terror Island and the creepy outposts of Brrr Mud to make allies and enemies alike.
CREATED BY A LEGENDARY TEAM!
The new chapter in the Monkey Island series marks the return of cult series creator Ron Gilbert, joined by co-writer/game designer Dave Grossman, art director Rex Crowle (Knights & Bikes, Tearaway) and composers Peter McConnell, Michael Land, and Clint Bajakian (Monkey Island, Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge).
