There is interesting news from Rocket League, because in this case we have news of its upcoming changes within the application. Soon in Rocket League, your teammates’ badges will show how much acceleration they have left. Also, some rarities are going to change their names.
Rocket League has many game modes in which you will have to tread carefully. Maybe you have ever taken to the air and seen in the chat the “I need to speed up!” from a teammate half a second too late. You miss the opportunity, your teammate can’t come back in time and you lose the game.
However, with tomorrow’s update, your teammates’ plates will show how much acceleration do they have left. The acceleration level will be displayed in a small circle next to your display name.
You can also find more information about this plate upgrade and the changes to item rarity names in the update.
PLATES NOW FEATURE INDICATORS SHOWING THE ACCELERATION REMAINING TO TEAMMATES
The main reason for this change is that we believe that displaying acceleration levels will reduce confusion between teammates. For example, let’s say you have a teammate dribbling upfield. You may be wondering: “Is he playing slowly and carefully on purpose… or is he lacking acceleration?” With upgraded badges, you’ll have a better idea of what your teammates are doing.
Knowing the acceleration level of your teammates is important for the most skilled, but also for Rocket League players in general. Many players may not fully understand the importance of acceleration management, so we believe that showing players how their teammates manage acceleration will help them make better decisions for themselves. as
The reason we chose to display this information on the boards instead of adding it to the interface is that we believe that a gauge with the acceleration level of all your teammates permanently visible would be difficult to follow and distracting. (In addition, we believe that it is not necessary to know the acceleration levels of teammates at all times.) Care must be taken to provide useful information to players without adding too much visual noise.
Remember that you will be able to see the acceleration indicators of your teammates, but not those of the players on the opposing team. We’d love to hear what you think of this feature, so head over to subreddit o al Discord of Rocket League and tell us.
CHANGES TO RARITY NAMES
With tomorrow’s update, the names of the following item rarities will change:
