If you’re looking for another fantastic farming adventure with RPG elements, the Kickstarter project Tales of Seikyu (not to be confused with Bandai Namco’s Tales Of series) is worth checking out. At the end of last month, this new game hit its stride 200 thousand dollars stretch goal – locking the release on all systems including “Switch platforms”.
While the game is currently confirmed for the Switch, developer ACE Entertainment is also open to a release on Nintendo’s rumored follow-on system.
“Greetings, Seikyuians, We’re thrilled to share with you that we’ve hit the $200K milestone for consoles, SteamDeck, and the Switch platforms together! Your incredible support has brought the enchanting world of Seikyu to a wider audience, allowing more players to join our vibrant community. Thank you for making this dream a reality!”
Tales of Seikyu takes place in Japan’s Shōwa era and is set on an island known as Seikyu. This is a unique location filled with mystical yōkai, where you plant crops, craft, participate in animal husbandry, fishing contests, and explore underwater ruins. You’ll also build friendships, start families with residents, support the development of the town, and meet more than 40 yōkai residents.
“These islanders display different personalities, each with their own occupations and hobbies. Once you’ve joined their community, the islanders welcome you warmly, without exception. It’s your choice whether to become good friends with them or win their hearts. However, it’s important to note that not everyone will embrace open relationships, because your infidelity can lead to irreparable consequences.”
The game aims for early access december 2024. If we hear any updates on the Switch release, we’ll let you know.
