It’s been a while since we’ve had a new game in the Nier series so it looks like one is finally coming considering how prominent the IP is. Fans have recently been attending the Nier: Orchestra Concert tour at various stops around the world and have reported that something called Nier Repent has been teased by the game’s director, Yoko Taro. At the end of the event in London, Taro took the stage and informed the fans that the president of Square Enix was in the crowd and that if they wanted a sequel to Automata, they should give the loudest applause of the night. As this was happening, the screens in the background lit up with REPENTANCE, which finally turned into “R3PENT”. This seems to be an indication that the next Nier game might be called Nier 3: Repent.
