One of the most requested DLCs Super Smash Bros. Finally by Sora the Kingdom Hearts series. Compared to many other proposals, this character actually seems to be the perfect fit for Nintendo's all-star witness.
What are the chances of Sora being added to the game, and why didn't Nintendo make that happen? In the latest episode of Kinda Funny Gamescast, former editor-in-chief of Game Informer and interior designer Imran Khan revealed how Nintendo has “approached Disney” regarding the launch of Sora in Smash. When asked if Disney was the problem, Khan explained how it was "Disney Japan exactly" who had prevented any agreement from continuing.
You see, the Kingdom Hearts series is a collaboration between the square Enix and Disney Interactive – which means it's not as easy as just adding a character to that game with Plato's permission, as Disney owns this IP. So it's nothing like installing iCloud from the Final Fantasy series, which owns Square Enix completely.
Although this does not completely exclude Sora, Khan says how surprised he would be if it eventually went ahead. Are you still hoping that one day you will see Sora in Smash? Share your thoughts below.
