More information has surfaced about the yet-to-be-announced Persona 6 from SEGA Atlus. The information comes from Reset Era member Head on the Block – formerly known as I’m a Hero too and has a good track record with leaks like this. What we do know is that Persona 6 will not be a fully open world like the recently released Final Fantasy Rebirth, but will instead be a semi-open world experience. Of course, the game will again be set in a high school and should feature more “fluid” social connections. Atlus has not yet announced Persona 6, but it is currently in development. Here’s what was said:
“Social connections are much more “fluid” for the next game. You can interact more and most things aren’t timed, but that’s a big part of the series. A persona is two things: high school and social connections, I think “hardcore” fans know that. That will never change, only the things around it and the systems will, if that makes sense.”
“Unfortunately, I’d say the P6 is probably not for you. The core is the same. I think the team’s message is, “high school nostalgia” and I’ve heard “many times, Persona IS high school+college relationships. It’s just more modern in that semi-open world.”
