By now you’re most likely aware of SEGA’s confirmation last month that Jet Set Radio, Shinobi, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage and Crazy Taxi will be getting a new game. However, SEGA also suggested that their “Power Surge” initiative won’t end there, with other IPs also planning to get new games.
As a result, speculation has been rife about what else SEGA has in store for the future. The company filed many trademarks not too long ago, which only further fueled the speculation. However, there has been another new development that could create even more theories and speculations on the matter.
You see, Insider Gaming reports that we’ve only seen half of the SEGA-sanctioned game IP revivals between 2020 and 2021. There are 5 more that haven’t been announced yet. Insider Gaming says that according to their sources, Panzer Dragoon, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Sakura Taisen will also get new games. As with the already announced games, these 3 are also in the early stages of development. As for the other 2 games, Insider Gaming was unable to verify what they were.
