Yesterday, rumours became true when the Atlus and Arc System Works’ 2D fighting game Persona 4 Arena Ultimax was officially announced for the Nintendo Switch and multiple other modern platforms.
Now, in an interesting update, the same leaker who teased this announcement ahead of its official reveal is claiming Persona 3 Portable will be receiving a “multiplatform” remaster. Here’s exactly what ‘Zippo’ had to say in a new post over on their blog
“Oh, and Persona 3 Portable is getting a remaster. Multiplatform.”
While it might all seem a bit sudden, Atlus is currently celebrating the 25th anniversary of Persona. It’s also teased that it has seven project reveals planned to celebrate this special occasion.
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 Portable is an enhanced port of the original PlayStation 2 game, first released on the PlayStation Portable in 2009. It featured various new options – including the ability to play as a female protagonist.
While we wait to see how this latest Persona rumour unfolds, why not check out the latest Atlus announcement from yesterday – confirming it will be bringing Persona 4 Arena Ultimax to the Nintendo Switch next year in March.
