Things are sadly not looking so good for the Playful Studios team that brought us the Tale Super Lucky & # 39; s Tale lookalike recently on the Nintendo switch. It is a redesigned version of the Xbox One X launch title. Here are some details from Playful's founders.
“Since 2012, we have had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with some of the most talented developers in our industry, to create a unique, exciting IP and virtual reality games that they love. We have created and submitted many articles in rich forums to millions of players worldwide, and we are incredibly proud of the work done by our teams in this way. During this time we have taken great risks to grow our studio, we are determined to dream big, and work hard to pursue these wonderful opportunities with our friends.
Ongoing changes in the global video game market require Playful to respond to its approach to the development and production of our current and future projects. This studio will be entering a redesigned production model based on game development and dynamic, project-based teams.
As part of this change in our working model, we have made the difficult decision to drastically reduce our full-time, working-class employees today. We are truly heartbroken to part ways with many of our friends and colleagues. These people are the people who poured their hearts into every play that was made, that has supported us and every step of the way, and really made this studio what it is today. We will be working closely with each individual affected by this change to help them move forward.
