Telltale Games’ remaster of the trilogy will be completed on Switch when Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse Remastered closes the case on August 14th. With dynamic lighting, better lip-syncing, reworked character models and many other improvements, it will be the first time The Devil’s Playhouse is on a Nintendo console.
After Sam & Max: Save the World and Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space, this third point-and-click adventure promises more hysterical shenanigans by the detective duo, as well as the end of an era. Brought back from the brink by former Telltale and Skunkape Games staff, The Devil’s Playhouse Remastered will be a farewell to the trilogy and the company that created it.
Telltale went bankrupt in 2018, leaving many of its properties and games in the trade afterward. Fortunately, like another notable studio that went bankrupt that year, AlphaDream, their games found a home and even hope.
If it’s your first time looking for Justice, demos for the first and second games in the trilogy are available for download on the Switch eshop. And if you want to retrace your steps before the grand finale, now might be the time to go back to those previous seasons and take a trip down memory lane.
