A few years back, Sega launched its Sega Forever series – a range of free downloads of its classic themes from yesteryear. It was seen as Sega's way of reuniting its fans with its respected back catalog, and, despite some teething problems, became an important way to keep Sega's ancient game memory alive.
With the company's arrival 60 years recently, it h as been announced that Sega Forever's public channels are being released from their smartphone chains and will begin to cover Sega's Sega catalog beyond everything
Here is the official statement from the Sega Forever team:
SEGA Permanent Public Stations will now be supporting SEGA-related releases like SEGA AGES, as well as celebrating SEGA's extensive history. This is a good time because 2020 marks our 60th anniversary. We will be sharing some of the most unusual and unpredictable art we have ever discovered, and discount some of our favorite SEGA moments and characters. At the bottom of the line we will also be making a number of smaller videos like Yuzo Koshiro's interview we published a while back. We look forward to hearing from our fans and seeing what content they like most!
Sega clearly has big plans for this year – he has announced a special campaign in Japan and a new mascot character to keep up with.
