One of the biggest announcements from The Game Awards last week was SEGA’s unveiling of multiple IP revivals. Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Golden Axe, Shinobi and Streets of Rage are confirmed to be getting new games, and SEGA even showed off some gameplay for all of them.
However, you may be wondering if this initiative, which is called “Power Surge”, is limited to just those 5 games. Well, according to SEGA COO and CEO of SEGA of America Shuji Utsumi in a press release announcing the initiative, we’re “digging into our legacy and reinventing several franchises to bring these games to as many audiences around the world as possible. Today’s announcement is just the beginning of our initiative”.
