Today a new and interesting message has been shared that is directly related to Nintendo. We are talking in this case of news focused on the company.
Specifically, these are statements offered by Shigeru Miyamotofather of Super Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong and more Nintendo franchises, in a 1989 BEEP magazine interview translated by Shmulations and shared by Dave Rupert.
When asked that year about the key to success in video games, his answer was clear: it is important to have an initial vision. This is what he said back then:
Well, what has worked for me so far is finding something I want to do that matches what the market currently needs.
If you believe in your idea, and that it is something that people are going to want, then you just have to polish it and raise it to a sufficient level of quality. So no matter how talented staff you’ve been blessed with, if you don’t have a clear direction for your idea, I don’t think a good game will come out.
