As confirmed during E3 2021, Atlus’ Shin Megami Tensei V is launching for Switch on 12th November, and pre-orders for the physical versions of the game are now open.
Atlus has put out a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming Switch exclusive, which you can watch above, and you can check out the included goodies that come with the Premium edition below. This includes that standard launch edition and also the ‘Fall of Man Premium Edition’ which comes with various extras over and above the game itself.
Pre-orders of the Standard Edition also include a SteelBook, while the Premium version comes with a bag and other gear. Let’s check out both the SteelBook and the big ol’ Premium Edition…
First up, the Standard Edition SteelBook:
That’ll set you back the standard $59.99, although if you’ve got deeper pockets there’s always the Fall of Man Premium Edition to consider, which will cost you double (that’s $119.99, if multiplication isn’t your strong suit):
As you can see above, the Premium Edition comes with the Steelbook, plus a sling bag, a 100-page hardcover A5 Demon Handbook, a 2-CD soundtrack and a sexy box for it all. We’re not sure it’s worth an extra 60 notes, but it’s a nice-looking package all the same.
The latest entry in the celebrated RPG series was first announced way back in 2017, and we recently had Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster arrive on Switch, so fans of the series have that to be getting on with between now and November, at least. The game is one of the 30 upcoming Switch games we’re looking forward to in the second half of 2021, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it.
Let us know below if you’ll be opening up your wallets for either of the SMT5 packages above.
