One of the games announced at the recent Nintendo Partner Direct was Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. The SEGA and Atlus game was rumored for days before the release of the Partner Direct. When it was officially announced, the game’s release date was confirmed to be June 21st.
However, some more details about the game were shared yesterday. It has been announced that the game will have 2 story scenarios for players to play. There is one origin story told in the original Shin Megami Tensei V, which is called “Canon of Creation”. Meanwhile, the “Canon of Vengeance” scenario will start out the same as the “Canon of Creation” scenario, but will differ in the mid and late game. Because of this, this story scenario will have a different ending.
So, the additional story scenario means that it will take players much longer to complete the game than it did for the original Shin Megami Tensei V. In fact, you will have to spend twice as much time to complete it. Both story scenarios last 80 hours, increasing the game’s completion time to 160 hours.
