Nintendo relaunched a new Indie World Showcase presentation in December 2019 where it announced that Sports Story, the long-awaited sequel to Golf Story, would be released in mid-2020 on Nintendo Switch exclusively on the console. Unfortunately, however, the title was delayed indefinitely and since Sidebar Games confirmed that the game was being delayed last August, we have not heard from its development again.
Well, we get news about it and it is that Sidebar Games has shared the following through its Twitter account:

We hope that the promised updates will arrive soon, but at the moment we still do not know a release window. Meanwhile we will stay tuned to inform you of any news that arises in this regard.
