Mystery games have been around for many years, but specifically the Simulacra series It aims to do something unique and different in this sector. We remind you that the first installment of this saga is available on the Switch eShop from December 3, 2019.
In this case, the game takes place inside a phone, in fact you will have restricted the entire phone interface so that you have a much more complete experience, being able to generate real headaches.
This title presents various challenges and this is precisely what it tells us Jeremy Ooi, co-founder of Kaigan Games:
Working around this design has been really complex and challenging, but it's something that we continue to investigate. The first thing we needed was to establish a space and some functions. In fact, within the mystery games you can use the environment, character design, dialogue and movement, either in different parts or in combination for a certain scene. When it comes to a phone interface, its scenes are locked in specific apps, where each one represents a different look. So we needed to establish the identity of these apps and how to put them together to give players the ideal narrative to follow.
In other words, it is going to be a really addictive game, with different puzzles to solve, as well as different challenges that will test your patience and overall abilities.
Really fascinating!
