SNK is home to a wide variety of video game franchises, including some cherished by fighting game fans. SNK is the company behind Fatal Fury, King of Fighters and Samurai Shodown. All three have had games released on various platforms over the years, including the Nintendo Switch. In particular, King of Fighters has been around for decades and is considered a very important franchise within the company. In fact, the franchise is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
So it's not that surprising that SNK Corporation recently announced that it's creating a brand new in-house studio called King of Fighters. It's called KOF Studio, and SNK says this new studio will “proudly continue the legendary legacy of our iconic fighting game IPs while pushing their evolution deep into the future.”
