Sonic the Hedgehog character designer Naoto Ohshima shared some very early concept art of the speedy blue blob on Twitter. Sonic was originally a boy with spiky blonde hair who eventually turned into the Sonic we know and love. Mr. Ohshima also said that his original concept was for “an action game about twin brothers protecting the dream world from Nightmare World’s boss, Thirteen. You can also see that the nature in the background is similar to that seen in the first stage of Sonic the Hedgehog, Green Hill Zone,
