The game was announced after reports. And now it seems that, after the rumor of its release date, it has officially confirmed animated prequel. This is confirmed:
- The game will include a prequel animation titled Dark Beginnings.
- SEGA has announced that it will offer more details about Dark Beginnings on July 6, 2024.
- These details will be shared at a special event at Anime Expo 2024.
- Special guests Takashi Iizuka, Kirk Thornton and Stephanie Sheh will be present on this panel.
- The panel will offer answers to fans’ questions about the project.
