When we update Yooka-Laylee And Impir Lair back in October 2019, we called it "a great effort by a sophomore who pays off the previous Rare course and has launched Playtonic as one of the UK's most exciting studios." If that wasn't enough incentive for you to buy it, then maybe the sample power of the game part before taking the plunge would be enough?
This is exactly what the Playtonic did at the end of this month. The free demo will hit the eShop on January 30 (the week after Steam). The demo will include an "assortment of 2D levels of light and fun", & # 39; Pagie Challenge & # 39 ;, a change of scene in one of the stages, some tones to sample (one of which gives Jooka a huge headache), and access to the titular Impible Lair itself (gasp!). In addition, your progress from the demo can be extended to the full game.
But why now, and why not at the time of release, you may ask? Well, so to speak Playtonic & # 39; s Twitter, demos are not just something you put out with minimal effort – they have to be certified as a full release, and there was no time or resources to produce a demo when it was launched. We'll let them, because they're good people.
Will you download this demo on the 30th? Let us know by voting at the polling place below.
