The next Splatfest is only a few hours away, and in this humble writer’s opinion, it’s one of the hardest to pick a team for. Like, how dare anyone put carbs against carbs?
Anyway, this weekend’s Splatfest theme is “What could you eat every day?“, with bread, rice and pasta options. See, that’s impossible!
The the official Splatoon account has shared some new art to celebrate, but the only way you can truly celebrate is to win the thing. So get ready for another chaotic ink weekend and may the best starch win!

After last week’s ‘Summer Nights’ Splatfest, Nintendo has today revealed what’s in store for Splatoon 3 next month.
August’s Splatfest event is all about food again, with three starchy options vying for your vote. The theme this time is “What could you eat every day?” and you will have a choice between Team bread, Rice and Pasta — is anyone else hungry?
This one starts 10th August at 1am BST and will last until 12 August at 00:59 BST. Based on previous Splatfest dates, we’re betting the North American equivalent will be from August 9 at 5:00 PM PT to August 11 at 4:59 PM PT.
At the Summer Nights Splatfest, Team Beach took the win, but who will get your vote this time? We’re leaning towards team pasta, but all three are delicious enough to include.
