Fire Emblem Engage isn’t the only Nintendo game set to receive a major DLC-related update tonight. An Expansion Pass was also confirmed for Splatoon 3 during today’s Nintendo Direct, with Inkopolis and Side Order DLC announced.
Well, Nintendo has released a new update for the game. After the update, Splatoon 3 should be at version 2.1.1. This update doesn’t rebalance any weapons, but it fixes a lot of bugs and makes it so that players who bought the Expansion Pass will get an “in-game battle boost bonus”. The patch notes are below.
Expansion order bonus available
- Players who order Splatoon 3: Expansion Pass – Inkopolis & Side Order The DLC will get a bonus to boost the battle in the game.
- In order to collect your combat boost bonus, you must first purchase and download DLC content. Then run it Splatoon 3 game, visit the terminal in the lobby and select Get Stuff.
Fixes to player controls
- Fixed an issue that caused communication to drop when performing certain actions with the Splattershot Jr. weapon. or Custom Splattershot Jr., even if those actions can normally be performed.
- Fixed an issue that caused ink to display incorrectly if Slosher and Tri-Slosher attacked at the same time.
- Fixed an issue where there could be a delay in recovering from existing damage if you were in range of a Wave Breaker or Big Shot attack and avoided damage by jumping or otherwise.
Multiplayer fixes
- Fixed an issue where players between the court and the Tacticooler could skate inside the court if the Tacticooler was placed in the corner of the court.
- Due to this change, you will now be able to go through Tacticooler—even in Inkling or Octoling form—while performing an action that causes rapid movement, such as a Dodge Roll while dual wielding.
- Fixed an issue in Brinewater Springs where players could get on rocks offstage.
Other repairs
- Fixed an issue that occurred when replaying Tricolor Turf War battles where Deep Cut cheers would sometimes be for teams not in battle.
- The problem that occurred during the repetition of the job scenario in the shallows has been solved. If the replay contained weapons marked with a question mark, this could cause the screen to black out and prevent the game from starting.
Note: Compatible with ver. 2.1.0 battle replays. Not compatible with ver. 2.0.1 or earlier battle replays.
