Splatoon 3 continues to receive a lot of support from Nintendo and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. There will be more DLC coming soon that is part of the Expansion Pass, and the game is being updated very regularly with new updates that add more stuff, rebalance the game, and fix bugs.
The latest update, which brings the game to version 3.1.1, is a small one. The focus of this update is just to fix some bugs. However, Nintendo mentions in the patch notes that the next major update will be released next month, in June. The patch notes can be seen below.
Changes to Splatfests
- Added information related to future Splatfests.
- Adjusted things like screen brightness and ink color on stages during Splatfest.
In addition to adding data related to future Splatfests, we’ve released this update to adjust how the stages look during Splatfests. Please note that we plan to make further changes to the ink color when using Color Lock in the next update.
The next update is scheduled to be released at the end of the current season. It will primarily focus on balance adjustments and adding features for the new season starting in June.

Fixes for Splatfests
- Fixed an issue where the music and performances in Splatsville and Inkopolis during Splatfest would become out of sync if the main menu was open for a long time.
Other repairs
