Square Enix’s SaGa Emerald Beyond may not have received the same amount of attention as some other JRPGs this year, but months after its release, Square Enix is still showing support for the game with some updates.
The “main content” in this latest one fixes multiple bugs and also includes some quality of life improvements. Here are the full patch notes:
– Fixed an issue where certain battles would not end if the player entered an infinite acceleration loop.
– Adjusted the combo rate when the player goes into their fourth consecutive overdrive and beyond.
– Fixed several issues related to trading certain items in multiple quantities.
– Custom trade menu hierarchy.
– Added function to toggle between items on item enhancement screen.
– Added descriptions stating that damage taken will also increase when affected by certain damage increase effects.
– Fixed an issue related to which door is selected in a match when only two doors are available in Tsunanori Mida’s story.
– Fixed several minor graphics issues.
– Fixed several minor text issues.
– Adjusted various UI display elements.
– Fixed other minor issues.
When this game hit the Switch earlier this year, we praised the timeline combat system, loving the multiple stories, worlds and characters as well as the callbacks to earlier SaGa entries.
