In any case, after learning the patch notes, as well as some statements about when the Nintendo Switch patch was expected to be released, and others about its status a couple of weeks ago, we now have another statement.
Stardew Valley creator Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone has offered new statements regarding version 1.6, confirming the following:
- Update 1.6:
- Currently available for PC only.
- No release planned for consoles (Nintendo Switch, Xbox, PlayStation) or mobile devices.
- State of Development:
- Console and mobile ports are in the works, but not ready yet.
- The developer apologizes for the delay and is focused on completing the console update before moving forward with other projects like Haunted Chocolatier.
- Developer Statement:
- Acknowledge the delay and accept responsibility.
- Thanks to patient and understanding followers.
You already know that update 1.6 offers new festivals and eventsa new farm type, visual improvements, and more content. Don’t forget that this is the last update for Stardew Valley before ConcernedApe focuses on his next project, Haunted Chocolatier. However, we remember that the creator also recently stated that this version 1.6 might not be the last.
