Status of the different services after the recent closure of Pokémon Global Link - iGamesNews

As planned, today we said goodbye to the service of Pokémon Global Link (PGL) who has accompanied us in the Nintendo 3DS games. Here we bring you a small compilation with information about what this entails.

As of now, it can no longer be used none of the functions of the game that require a connection to PGL in your Pokémon Ultrasol, Pokémon Ultra Moon, Pokémon Sun or Pokémon Moon games, although you can still use other online features outside of PGL.

We must remember that Pokémon Sword and Shield

They are not affected by these, as they offer services on their own similar to those of Point Fighting and PGL Online Tournaments, which we can access through Nintendo Switch if we have Nintendo Switch Online hired.

Regulations download	△	The information seen through the PGL website cannot be seen after closing, but this function itself does not use PGL, so it can still be used.
Online fighting (local communication)	〇	It can always be used.
Exchanges (communication with GTS)	△	The information seen through the PGL website cannot be seen after closing, but this function itself does not use PGL, so it can still be used for now.
