STEINS;GATE games, which are usually visual novels, have a long history on the Nintendo Switch. The vast majority of games are available to play on Nintendo’s hybrid console. The most recent game was released in 2015, although various games were not ported to the Switch until 2019.
Well, the publisher Mages has officially announced the new game STEINS;GATE. It will be a reboot of the 2009 original that will have “new graphics and some additional story elements.” That’s why it’s called STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT. It is slated for release in Japan in 2025, although the platforms it will be on have not been specified.
