The image shared on a Discord channel lines up with the back shot of the Italian plumber which was included in the tweet yesterday from Nintendo of America announcing the Super Mario Bros Movie-themed Nintendo Direct which is tomorrow at 1.05pm PT / 9.05pm UK time. We should know for certain tomorrow during the presentation.
