Last month Nintendo announced some more first party games for this year. So, last week the Entertainment Software Rating Board, or ESRB for short, released ratings for games in the United States. One of them is Super Mario Party Jamboree, which is scheduled to be released on Nintendo Switch on October 17th.
The ESRB rated Super Mario Party Jamboree “E” for “Everyone”, with the additional note that the game contains “mild fantasy violence”. As for the rating summary, it’s nothing out of the ord inary for a Mario Party game. In fact, they even say that “this is a collection of mini-games (party games) where players compete to win stars, coins and rankings”. You can see the full evaluation summary below.
Evaluation summary
This is a collection of mini-games (party games) where players compete to earn stars, coins and rankings. As players engage in different modes (eg board games, rhythm games, puzzle-based games, flying games, mini-games), they encounter or participate in unusual examples of fantasy violence: cartoon cannons/cannon turrets that shoot at giant characters; dodging robots with giant boxing gloves/fists; using oversized hammers against each other; connecting electrical circuits to eliminate the boss character. Damage is indicated by blinking, comical moaning, and/or a dizzying effect.
