It seems that we continue to receive more content for Super Mario fans. Today we received information about an unused element in one of its most spectacular games.
The news is from Super Mario Sunshine, and is related to a song hidden in the title. The game contains an unused message for a sign that includes an excerpt from the lyrics of the 1928 song “I Wanna Be Loved by You”. This is a popular song that was written in 1928 by Herbert Stothart and Harry Ruby, with additional lyrics by Bert Kalmar. This song has become a standard and has been covered by various artists over the years.
Perhaps the best-known and most emblematic version of the song was the one performed by Marilyn Monroe in the 1959 movie With Skirts and Crazy. You can see how it would look in the game below:
