For the recent fifth anniversary of Smash Bros. Ultimate, Nintendo added a bunch of new spirits based on series like Zelda, Splatoon, Xenoblade, and Pikmin.
Although we expected it to be a one-time thing, it seems it wasn’t! In a somewhat surprising update, it has now been announced that even more new spirits are on the way, starting this week January 25.
This time, players will be able to get their hands on alcoholic beverages from games such as indie title Hades, Konami’s WBSC eBaseball: Power Pros, and Atlus’ hit 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. Here’s Nintendo’s teaser trailer sharing a first look:
As noted, players will need to defeat them in battle to earn more SP than usual.
During the recent anniversary celebration, game director Masahiro Sakurai also commented that he can’t believe it’s been so long since Ultimate was released.
