A new Nintendo Switch emulator will be available soon in the form of Suyu which is based on Yuzu’s open source code and aims to provide a similar experience for emulation enthusiasts. Suyu, pronounced “‘sue-you” isn’t ready for use yet, but the team is getting together and has a GitLab page. The Suyu team is confident it won’t be removed because Suyu has consulted with “someone with legal experience” and the project “currently exists in a legal gray area that we’re trying to get out of.” The project will not include monetization and also does not offer step-by-step guides, which Yuzu previously did before being shut down by Nintendo. It will certainly be interesting to see how Suyu fares in the future.
