As most of you will know, Google Stadia is a subscription service for cloud video games operated by Google. Making use of the latter's data centers, Stadia has the ability to stream video games in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, with HDR support, and for users to be able to play them remotely. This service was launched on November 19, 2019 and since then, the search engine giant has revealed that more than 120 games are on the way to the platform in 2020.
Well, we get interesting news about it and that is that Electronic Arts (EA) has announced that it has partnered with Google to bring Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Madden NFL, FIFA, and more to service later this year.. This new association has been widely criticized by Nintendo fans on social media and it seems that many others, in general, question the agreement.
Here is a summary of some of the reactions:
When you support Google Stadia way more than the #NintendoSwitch it's clear you have your priorities wrong.
EA doesn't make sense. https://t.co/OtfIO5vS5z

It is funny though that EA is willing to support Stadia, which I'm not even sure has 1 million subscriptions yet vs. Switch which has sold over 50 million units.

EA really looked at Nintendo making millions off of Switch and Animal Crossing and thought "Let’s throw our weight behind Stadia instead…»#FizzVsGaming

Somehow Madden is going to end up on Stadia before Switch. EA is weird.

So EA won’t bring games over to Switch, but they have no problem bringing them to Stadia. Yeah OK. pic.twitter.com/RNrPrtRJhw

So you give more support to Google Stadia after a FAR worse start than any console launch in history than you are willing to give the Nintendo Switch (which has surpassed 50 million consoles sold)?
Whoever is making the decision there is an obvious moron. 😅

I think it’s a step in the right direction with Stadia. More games is the biggest thing
By why would EA make a deal with such a small install base when the Switch would do great with stuff like Titanfall.
I just don’t get it. https://t.co/PslyGOm54f

SW, @EA has officially thrown more support behind Stadia than the Nintendo Switch. That’s bonkers.

There are theories that it could be tied to a financial deal. Google is obviously eager to do something with its new platform, so it wouldn't be exactly a surprise if it were. There are also a number of comments that point out that it would be much more difficult for EA to announce a partnership like this with Nintendo:
I’m sure it’s easier to port their games to Stadia than switch. If they wanted to port to switch they'd probably have to outsource the ports to other developers like CDPR did with The Witcher. EA games haven't sold well on the last few Nintendo consoles anyway so why bother?

EA doesn't see more profit on Stadia than Switch, they see less work and a fat check from Google. https://t.co/E1ExC3XyjI

It’s probably much faster to port to Stadia than Switch. 🤷♂️
As a Switch owner, there’s 0% chance I’d buy it on Switch. I think I'm not in the minority here, EA knows this too

What is clear is that Nintendo Switch is a much more successful platform than Stadia, however many of the EA titles have not been released in the hybrid, while if they will be released in another service that has far fewer users worldwide, what which makes many Nintendo fans not take it exactly well.
It does not escape anyone that relations between EA and Nintendo have not been the best of this generation, and despite "their initial good intentions" to support Switch, the truth is that the platform has received little support and questionable versions of titles. as prominent as FIFA. The last thing we know about EA regarding the hybrid console is that it will launch Burnout Paradise: Remastered this year.
