Pokemon Sword Shield

Last week, we were treated to a look at the top 10 best-selling Nintendo switchch games. Thanks to that list, we learned that Pokémon Sword and Shield – the latest games in the Pokémon franchise – now stands at an impressive 17.37 million sales between them.

The price may sound high on its own, but how is it that this sale is grouped against other important Pokémon games? That's what we're here to find.

Below, we've collected data to list each of the original Pokémon series (without including third-party versions, sequels or remakes) to see how well the Word and Shield works. For new titles, we have 100% Nintendo data itself, which is ready as of March 2020. Selling old titles is a big trick to underwrite it with complete confidence – especially Pokémon Red and Blue

.

As you can see, the Sword and Shield are already up on the table, already bringing out the values of life gained by the likes of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire

and Pokémon X and Y. It is safe to assume that they will pass soon Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, again, even though Game Boy Classics will take some hits.

Is there anything surprising on that list? What Pokémon games have you bought over the years? Let us know in the comments below.
