Nintendo Switch can boast of having in its catalog a multitude of high-quality role-playing games for all tastes. However, there are many that are missed and they are or will be available on other platforms. An example of them is Tales of Arise, a title that continues the legendary RPG series of Bandai Namco in a delivery that will feature high definition graphics recreated in Unreal Engine 4 and high quality animation signed by Ufotable (Kimetsu no Yaiba, Code Vein). In addition, it will also feature a combat system defined as “dynamic action RPG” that respects but modernizes the classic formula.
Unfortunately for fans who have any hope of playing it on the hybrid console, it seems that they will not be able to do so, at least not in the short term. The Gamingbolt medium recently had the opportunity to speak with the producer of the series, Yusuke Tomizawa, about Tales of Arise, and when asked about a possible Switch version, he claimed that Bandai Namco has no such plans: “The consoles we have announced are the only consoles we have planned for the game,” Tomizawa said..
Obviously, this does not have to be definitive, as those plans could change in the future. It is not the first time that Bandai Namco has claimed to have no plans to launch a game on the hybrid console and it ends up arriving later. One of the more recent examples is Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot
We leave you his premise and his trailer:
On the planet Dahna there has always been devotion to Rena, the planet of heaven, as a divine and just land. The stories passed down between generations became the truth, and they masked the people of Dahna. For 300 years, Rena reigned over Dahna, plundering the planet’s resources and repressing the dignity and freedom of its inhabitants. Our story begins with two people, born in different worlds, both determined to change their destiny and create a new future.
When Tales of Arise launches on September 10 and will be available for PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X / S, and PC. The game has a free demo to test it and is already defined by many players as one of the best JRPG of the year.
What do you think? Would you like it to end up coming to Nintendo Switch in the future? Let us know in the comments!
