Super Mario Bros., which was released on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1985, has gone on to become one of the best-selling video games of all time. The game has sold more than 58,000,000 copies worldwide in the years since its release. It has been re-released on numerous platforms, including the Nintendo Switch Online NES library.
When another video game manages to cross that milestone, it’s not easy. However, this is something that Terraria has managed. A few weeks ago, Re-Logic confirmed that Terraria has now sold 58,700,000 copies, with 32,000,000 sold on PC alone. When revealing the sales milestone, Re-Logic said that “it’s been a while since we’ve given an update on how much the Terraria fan base has grown. This was somewhat planned, since we set our sights on it after going through a somewhat obscure game about a plumber and his brother trying to save a princess from this dragon and turtle thing”.
