Although Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is not expected to hit theaters before this December, it appears that the film is fully completed. The news comes from composer Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) who says he saw the film for the first time yesterday and said it was an “exhilarating” experience.
“Actually, I watched the movie for the first time yesterday. I know what the movie is about. It’s just such an exciting movie. It’s just very interesting.”
Tom Holkenborg also told entertainment website Collider that he’s glad to be a part of the movie that involves his family and says that his sons are very excited about the movie and have seen the previous Sonic movies multiple times so he can’t wait for them to see finished project.
“I have two young boys and it’s really great for a composer to be able to watch a film that you’ve actually worked on and they’re really excited about it.
“The first and second saw maybe 20, 30, 40 times. That’s what our young kids want to do, you know? They want to watch it again and again and again. So I’m really excited for them to see this by the end of the year.”
