It’s been a few months since the remastered version of Braid, officially called Braid: Anniversary Edition, was released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Since then, there hasn’t been much information about how the game has sold, although the game’s creator, Jonathan Blow, has occasionally made remarks on his Twitch channel about it.
Well, Blow stated on his Twitch channel that the game sold terribly. In fact, he even says that the console platforms the game was released on are “now dead” and that Steam is the game’s biggest platform. When asked how many of his development team are working on the compiler for Jail, a new programming language he and his development team have been working on, Blow said “none, because we can’t afford to pay anyone because sales are bad.”
