Hajime Isayamathe author behind one of the greatest works of manga, Shingeki no Kyojinreturns with a project that no one saw coming. His new work, The Theory of an Ill-Natured Man and AIis a science fiction story, something very different after 10 years without creating something outside of the Titans universe.
This manga has been published in February edition of 2025 of Bessatsu Shonen Magazineand has surprised many followers.
Best of all, this work is part of a very special collaboration with Yuki Kaji, actor gave life to Eren Jaeger in the anime Shingeki no Kyojin.

A tribute to the career of Yuki Kaji
The manga is part of “Soyogi Fractal”a project that celebrates the 20 years of Yuki Kaji in the anime industry. Isayama himself was in charge of the storyboards and special cover of the magazinewhile Kai Noshigami was in charge of the illustrations.
Kaji explained that his project seeks to bring together creators of all ages using his voice software “Bon Soyogi”. This is what he said about it:
This project is my life. I entrusted his first original work to Hajime Isayama for his incomparable creativity.

Here we find an artificial intelligence trapped in a “toxic job”, which suddenly becomes a VTuber and goes viral. However, things do not end well, as The actions of this AI endanger the future of humanity.
Creating manga is still complicated, but by not having to draw myself, I can experiment with more complex compositions.
since it ended Shingeki no Kyojin In 2021, Isayama had been fairly quiet, participating only in side projects such as compilation films and video games. His last original story was one-shot The Killing Pawn in 2014so this new work has us all expectant.
