We have just received new news related to the video game Kunai for Nintendo Switch.
Apparently, the title is receiving a barrage of bad scores in the review portal Metacritic. The game dropped from a score of one 8.3 yet 1.7 after users started making reviews without any sense.
The title producer, Bram Stage, has already ruled on what is happening and how they are dealing with such a situation. It was in an interview granted by the videogame portal Games Industry.
Next, we leave you with the statements:
We thought about the tone of how to deal with this situation, because we did not want to attack Metacritic, and we did not want to attack the attacker either, because it was evident that they did it to get attention.
This situation causes stress, you expect Metacritic's audience to be smart enough to see it: "Oh, they got 8.3 of the critics and 1.6 of the players, so there must be something." You hope they don't affect sales. I don't know if it affected sales. But it does generate a lot of stress. You have been working for two years in this game. You put all the blood, sweat and tears on it. And then, a guy on a Sunday afternoon, basically without any effort, can bomb the score of a good and positive grade at 1.7. Its very stressful.
