Japanese gaming publication Famitsu had the opportunity to speak with Takahiro Sakiyama about the upcoming Suikoden I & II HD Remasterwhich is slated to launch in March 2025. Speaking to the site, Mr. Sakiyama says he’s hopeful for the series’ future and says they want to expand the IP, which likely means starting work on a new entry if there’s demand there from fans of the classic JRPG series. Sakiyam also said that the release of Suikoden I & II HD Remaster was not actually timed to coincide with Suikoden’s 25th anniversary, but was a coincidental moment. Mr. Sakiyama says that one of his favorite things about the remake is the lack of loading times, which will hopefully apply to the Nintendo Switch version as well.
