Today, indie publisher Headup reveals Jack the pumpkin of Nintendo Switch, a "comical creepy" 3D platform.
The game, developed by Nicolas Meyssonnier, has players participating in a battle against evil, jump, focus, and map their way through challenging enemies and puzzles. It was developed using Unreal Engine for ultra optical illumination, and should appeal to fans of similar games MediEvil and Jak and Daxter.
Here's the PR and feature list:
The peaceful kingdom of Boredom, with its happy citizens, great calm … and the sweet little bunnies, sent the devil himself into flying fury! With dreams of chaos, torture, and bloodshed in his mind, he unleashed the terrifying insanity of Eternal Night on earth. Unhappy with the idea of a change in their peaceful way of life, the people called out their savior – a powerful whistle-blower to break a bad curse.
In order to stop these miserable people from hurting his happiness, the devil summons Jack's ghost, Pumpkin Lord, to fight the beastly army of monsters and destroy this burning witch! You, like Jack, will be traversing your path at full blasting levels as you punish those who have earned contempt for your master!
Features include:
– Preparing a Color Cartoon: Move the bright environment to levels that include magnificent weather, each made up of functional color palettes, and high-quality light effects.
– Fight for Your Health: With challenging monsters lurking in every corner, players must master the art of combo attacks, interplay, and timing to survive the real fierce battles! Players must unlock weapons and choose wisely to defeat all opponents!
– Don't Lose Your Head: Solve a puzzle that focuses on physics, gravity, and ingenuity like Jack, or a razor and uses your flaming head to burn books, wrap some dunes, create magical pathways, and more as each level introduces new and exciting challenges
– Find Friends Who Are Fighting You There are some good friends who will help Jack on his journey, including a proud owl to direct him, and a tireless cock, a bite to help with a long attack
The game is set to launch on the switch in Q4 2020; we have it with good authority that it will come "around Halloween".
