The European Commission has told Nintendo to change its policy regarding Joy-Con repairs

Earlier this week, Nintendo announced out of the blue that it was changing its long-standing policy regarding Joy-Con repairs. Now anyone who has experienced the infamous Joy-Con drift or other issues can now send them in to be fixed by Nintendo for free. However, it seems that Nintendo was forced into it European Comission

who posted a message to their Linkedin followers, stating that they had contacted Nintendo “to resolve a recurring technical issue with faulty Switch controllers.” They went on to say that “Nintendo has agreed to offer all consumers the right to repair, free of charge, even outside of statutory warranty.” Good for the European Commission!
