In the game’s movie creation tool, players can find a hidden video clip recorded by the former president of Nintendo, Hiroshi Yamauchi. This video from Mario Artist: Talent Studio shows a more playful side of the famous businessman, something that many employees and fans were not accustomed to.
The clip, shared a few times on YouTubeshow a avatar 3D of the former president giving a speech to the player, thanking him for purchasing the game. However, a woman off camera interrupts him and clarifies that the 64DD software is not sold, but rather given to all members of the subscription service. Randnet.
A little confused, Yamauchi turns to the camera again, talking about how new the game is and encouraging the player to enjoy it with their family and friends. In the end, he even asks the director what kind of software it is, implying that he still doesn’t fully understand the concept of Randnet.
