It’s been several weeks since they were closed. Wii U and Nintendo 3DS online serversremember that they were closed on April 8th affecting many games prior to Nintendo Switch. That date has arrived and we have already seen what happens when trying to connect. Now we have received some peculiar news related to the servers.
Following the closure of the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U servers
And after learning that some users were still online despite the closure, as well as some records and the last users, it seems that there are users who are still online.
Currently, after the departure of Pokémon, as well as other games, there is only one active player left: Fishguy6564who continues to play Mario Kart 7 on 3DS. Despite the server shutdowns, Fishguy has developed a patch and keeps his 3DS plugged into an uninterruptible power source to continue indefinitely, as he shared with with Games Radar
He is part of the “Nintendo Network After Hours” project, and his dedication is such that only a technical problem could take him offline. However, he admits that he will be disconnected at some point in the future.
We will have to be attentive to more details in other gamesas there have been reported cases where content would have been lost forever if it weren’t for the fans.
