Remember earlier this year when Nintendo revealed its range of fidget toys with button controls, sold exclusively in gacha machines in Japanese stores? Well, it looks like there's a new collection in town that will make you jealous all over again.
As noted by many people today on the Twitter and Blue skythe Tokyo Nintendo Store appears to be home to a new gacha collection, featuring miniature magnetic Zonai devices from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Oh, be still, my beating heart.
There are a total of six different designs: Zonai Fan, Rocket, Portable Pot, Big Wheel, Flame Emitter and Shock Emitter. Each miniature comes with a small magnetic pad on the back, so you can attach them to any metal surface – and you don't even need Link's goofy hand.
According to the sign on the machine (divided into Twitter per @Genki_JPN), capsules cost 600 yen (about £3 / $4) and you can buy two at a time. If you are not satisfied with the result and want to buy more, you will have to stand in line again. Brutal.
Blog post at Nintendo Dream Web shows each design in more detail, even explaining that the pods themselves are even modeled after the game's transparent case. Come on now, that's nice.
If this year's collection of controller buttons is anything to go by, then we can imagine that this gacha stuff will remain a Japanese exclusive for now. *Sigh* Then let's go back to the online review of flights to Japan.
