Decades ago, WayForward worked on a Shantae game for the Game Boy Advance. Ultimately, the game was never released while the Game Boy Advance was still new. But even though almost 20 years have passed, WayForward hasn’t forgotten the game at all.
At the Limited Run Games 2023 presentation, it was announced that the game is back in development. The game, called Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution, will be released on an actual Game Boy Advance compatible cartridge. You can see WayForward’s announcement tweet below.
